Brand spankin new from Arch Enemy

Now that the metal world has calmed down a bit following Angela Gossow’s departure from Arch Enemy, we can take the time to settle in with new vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. When the band premiered its first song/video with White-Gluz, Gossow’s departure was still very recent news. But its been over a month now, so we can listen to the band’s newest track from War Eternal knowing that White-Gluz has got this. Capital Chaos TV has premiered “As The Pages Burn” and it’s another solid track from upcoming album, due out June 10 on Century Media.

SEPTICFLESH ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE‏

SEPTICFLESH ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE‏

Two titans of symphonic death metal will join forces this summer for the most momentous event of the season: the Conquerors of the World festival tour! Co-headliners SEPTICFLESH (Greece) and Fleshgod Apocalypse (Italy) will join brutal death metallers Hour of Penance (Italy) and Canadian occultists Necronomicon for an international-flavored bill of musical extremism.

“We are thrilled to announce that we will be returning to North America with our blood brothers in Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance and Necronomicon,” comments SEPTICFLESH. “This promises to be a night in darkness to be remembered as we prepare to unleash our colossal new album ‘Titan.'”

“We are proud to announce that this summer, we’ll be your guests for the Conquerors of the World North American tour,” adds Fleshgod Apocalypse. “Once again, we’ll be joining forces with Greek symphonic metal legends SEPTICFLESH. This will be a year after the outstanding experience that brought us across Europe in 2013 together, and will be just after our Australian run with them in May. As co-headliners, we will present a huge one-hour set list — the longest one we’ve ever played in your countries! We’ll be sharing the stage with our Italian brothers Hour of Penance and Necronomicon as well. The apocalypse is set for the end of June, so don’t miss it!”

Tour dates will be announced shortly, so stay tuned!

Still riding high from the success of their critically acclaimed 2011 album “The Great Mass,” Hellenic metallers SEPTICFLESH will release their new full-length album, “Titan,” on June 24 via Prosthetic Records in North America. The new CD consists of 10 songs that were recorded once again at Devasoundz Studios in Athens, Greece and in the Czech Republic with the collaboration of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra And Choir. From there, the album was mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by acclaimed producer Logan Mader (Gojira, Fear Factory, Cavalera Conspiracy). Fans can pre-order the album here.

Fleshgod Apocalypse released their latest record, Labyrinth, this past August via Nuclear Blast Records. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio and hones in on the band’s unique traits, giving fans everything they could hope for and more. Colin Marks (Origin, Kataklysm) created the cover artwork, as well as several pieces for a massive inlay. “The concept of this album is based on the myth of the Labyrinth of Knossos and every character related to it,” stated vocalist/guitarist Tommaso Riccardi recently. “We focused on the philological aspect in order to represent all the elements of the classic world and, through manic and meticulous research, managed to create a metaphor with our times, as the maze can be associated with the endless search for what we really are.”

The return of Scars Of Tomorrow

Scars of Tomorrow are back and firing on all cylinders.

The band has reformed and will release a brand new album, titled Failed Transmissions, via Artery Recordings on June 24, 2014.

The band, formerly signed to Victory and active in the early ’00s through 2007 before splitting, will also play the Main Stage at this year’s New England Metal and Hardcore Fest, which is “the” event for fans of hard rock and metal and takes place this weekend.

“It’s been six years since the Scars of Tomorrow’s final tour,” singer Mike Milford said. “In that time, many things have happened and changed. Music is the best outlet for emotions and it’s something we all needed to feel again. This time, the game has changed and it is awesome to be able to write and play music for all of the right reasons again with no politics behind it.”

New lyric video from Whitechapel

The anticipation continues to build as the release date of WHITECHAPEL’s new album Our Endless War draws nearer. April 25th will see the release of the band’s fifth full-length record and fourth for Metal Blade Records. Our Endless War is a ruthlessly honed album that refuses to compromise on brutality; it is also by far WHITECHAPEL’s most streamlined, atmospheric, and emotionally powerful release, pushing every aspect of their sound to the next level.
Vocalist Phil Bozeman commented on what inspired him to write the song:

“The focus behind the song “Our Endless War” is not what a lot of people believe it to be. A lot of people will think it’s just a stab at our government but it’s more than that. The United States as a whole has been in this sort of downward spiral for quite some time now. It has to do with just us as a nation; our citizens, government, culture, etc. I truly feel like we are becoming those “stupid Americans” that we are stereotyped as because of things like reality TV, gluttony, our healthcare system, school shootings and so many other things. I’ve been around the world and seen how different countries treat each other. It seems as though they are truly “united” as one whereas it seems like we hate each other. I love my country and my freedom and I will always be a patriotic citizen of the United States but I’m scared of what the future holds for our generations to come. It seems as though we are fighting an endless war and we will never find that victory.”
