Allegaeon’s “Threshold Of Perception” Brand Spankin’ New Music Video

143

Allegaeon has launched a brand new video for “Threshold of Perception” from their most recent album, “Elements of the Infinite.” The band shot and edited the video themselves, with vocalist Ezra Haynes serving as the clip’s director. Allegaeon shot while they were in between their recent tours with Chimaira and Arsis where they ended up with some days off in Florida. Haynes elaborates on the project.“After doing a month long trek with Chimaira followed by another month long tour with Arsis, we found ourselves just north of Naples, Florida for 5 days,” says vocalist Ezra Haynes. “I know, sounds horrible right? A beach pretty much within walking distance. Who wants that? Anyway, we figured we’d be somewhat productive and film a play through since we had so much time off before returning home. Well, It didn’t really turn out that way. We thought to ourselves, ‘Let’s take one final blow at this Crabcore situation we have going on and just make a dumb video.’ So, we parked our rears on a beach for a few hours and filmed anything that came to our heads. Now we have a floaty wearing shredding crabbing seagull having hip-hop hyping death metal video that promotes good oral hygiene. Enjoy!”

The Devil Wears Prada frontman Mike Hranica said of their decision to commemorate the EP:

When we started discussing the idea of playing the Zombie EP front to back, it was clear and evident that the five year anniversary would be the perfect time to commemorate. The band will return to North America and play 21 full headline shows in February and March. The trek launches February 20 in Santa Ana, California and wraps on March 18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Wovenwar, who supported the band’s European tour, will open all dates, while All That Remains will serve as direct support.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, December 17 at 10AM ET/7AM PT. Go here for all dates and ticket links.

About the upcoming tour, singer Anders Fridén stated, “We are having such an amazing time being on tour in U.S. and sharing our stage with our friends in Opeth that it’s hard to believe how time flies and that there are only a few shows left this year. Therefore, it’s even better to be able to announce that we’ll be back in the beginning of 2015 to see all of you beautiful people again. Thanks to all of you for your support; you make us feel at home!”

“It’s great to be back with Wovenwar,” added guitarist Björn Gelotte. “They did a great job supporting us in Europe; therefore, we are looking forward to take them out again in their home territory. Having All That Remains joining us as the main support means we’ll have a high energy package that we can’t wait to come back to U.S. with.”

In Flames released their 11th album Siren Charms on September 9 via Sony/RED.

In Flames participated in a massive and successful worldwide Yahoo! live stream of their show at Hollywood Palladium. If you are looking for a glimpse of their amazing stage performance and presence, check them out here and be transported to an In Flames gig in an instant.

New Video Interview With Terry Butler Of Obituary/Massacre/Death

Press_Logo_02

Todd Owens chats with Terry Butler of Massacre/Obituary 11/16/14 @ DNA Lounge – San Francisco, California

Terry Butler (Born November 1967) of Tampa, Florida, U.S., is the current bassist in the death metal bands Obituary and Massacre. He was also a member of Six Feet Under and Death. He was credited on the Death albums Leprosy and Spiritual Healing, and band leader Chuck Schuldiner stated that on the latter Death album “Terry contributed to the songwriting as well”.

He is married with three children, and is brother-in-law of former bandmate Greg Gall.

Before he joined Six Feet Under, he was in Massacre with Rick Rozz, whom he played with in Leprosy-era Death. In an interview, Butler has stated: “I’d rather be popular in the underground, than be unknown in the mainstream.”

In late 2011 it was announced that Butler was reforming Massacre with former bandmate Rick “Rozz” DeLillo, with the intention of securing a record deal, recording a new album, and international touring. The band performed on the cruise ship “70,000 Tons of Metal” in January 2012 and subsequently signed a worldwide recording agreement with Century Media Records.
