The Alpha Complex To Hit The Road With Fallrise And White Knuckle Riot

The Alpha Complex played their first show on December 21, 2013 in Modesto, Ca at The Fat Cat. The show was headlined by hometown heroes Better Left Unsaid.

The Alpha Complex is a 5 piece hard rock / metal band based out of Sacramento, Ca. The band features Michael “Angel” Woodruff as the vocalist who is best known for his work in Motograter.

The Alpha Complex started in September 2012 with Michael Woodruff (Relevent, Motograter, Riven) being the founding member. All Together Music partnered with the band immediately as they had previously managed Riven. The first member to join Woodruff was Steven Samora, who co-wrote “Til The End” in the songs early stages. The two split ways shortly after. Austin Kennedy joined the band and within a week they had written 6 songs and recruited Kery Glennon (Relevent) to the line up. The trio wrote the remainder of the album over the period of the next two months. Bassist Brian Barnard was added to the line up after responding to the band’s ad on craigslist. Kery and Michael attended the 2013 Monster Energy Drink Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Ca. There they found drummer Martin Bechtel during a chance side stage meeting during Love & Death’s set. The band’s line up was completed in September 2013, one year after it’s inception.

The Alpha Complex played their first show on December 21, 2013 in Modesto, Ca at The Fat Cat. The show was headlined by hometown heroes Better Left Unsaid. It was also the first ALL AGES show ever held at The Fat Cat. On May 11, 2014 TAC and All Together Music split ways. All Together Music was quoted in saying “Unfortunately, ATM and The Alpha Complex have parted ways! We wish the band the best in their future! The band is a hard working independent band who doesn’t need management at this time.” via ATM’s Facebook page. Shortly after on May 17, 2014 The Alpha Complex was announced as one of the bands to play the V103 Rockfest to be held on October 4, 2014. The festival would include a number of Northern California bands as well a surprise national headliner for the first time. The Alpha Complex’s debut album “GENERATE” was released May 23, 2014 at The Boardwalk in Orangevale, Ca. The show featured national bands Powerman 5000, 9 Electric, and DEDVOLT as well as local favorites FALLRISE. TAC filmed a live music video for their song “Never Again” at the show. On May 24, 2014 the group shot another music video in Jackson, Ca.

THE AGONIST announce Revolver Magazine’s “Women In Rock” Tour‏

“We are embracing a number of new topics,” admits guitarist Danny Marino with a cryptic smile. “The Agonist still wants to be a voice for change. However, there are many socio-political and personal topics that we haven’t yet covered. We get into some of those on this record.”

Montreal-based five-piece metal outfit THE AGONIST recently released their fifth studio album THE EYE OF PROVIDENCE via Century Media.  This fall they will embark on Revolver Magazine‘s North American “Women In Rock” tour.  Dutch symphonic metal titans EPICA and Swiss folk metallers ELUVEITIE will co-headline the tour and THE AGONIST will support all dates.  (See dates below)

The band recently released a new video for “Danse Macabre” from the album.

THE EYE OF PROVIDENCE, or God’s all-seeing eye, is a piece of religious iconography with origins stemming back to ancient Egypt. But THE AGONIST aren’t going all History Channel on their new album. The lyrical center isn’t about pyramids, the Freemasons, or its appearance on the United States one-dollar bill. As on previous albums, The Agonist are commenting heavily on advances in monitoring technology, particularly as it relates to governments intruding on the private lives of its citizens.

GOATWHORE To Kick Off North American Headlining Tour

It’s been sixteen years since Goatwhore reared its menacing head from the swamplands of New Orleans, Louisiana — a city rife with urban tales of voodoo curses, witchcraft and hauntings by souls of the damned. Spawned by former Acid Bath/Crowbar guitarist Sammy Duet in 1997, their winding legacy follows a dramatic, at times traumatic, sequence of personnel changes, fatal injuries, paranormal activity, natural disasters, and a collection of other misadventures large and small. They say what doesn’t kill you… whether driven by an unwavering commitment to their craft, pure insanity, the divine powers of Satan or perhaps a combination of the three, Goatwhore forever perseveres, inadvertently establishing themselves as one the hardest working, consistently punishing live bands of the 21st century and a true institution of heavy music.

BATTLECROSS announce “Rise to Power” and launch brand new song!

BATTLECROSS announce “Rise to Power” and launch brand new song!

Motor City thrashers BATTLECROSS have just returned home from a successful trip to Bogota, CO, and nearly immediately upon returning, have launched a brand new song from their forthcoming album, “Rise to Power“! The new song, “Not Your Slave“, is streaming at, where pre-order is also possible. “Rise to Power” will be released worldwide on Metal Blade Records on August 21st, 2015.

Rise to Power” was produced by Mark Lewis and engineered by Jason Suecof at Audiohammer Studios. Cover art was completed by Hungarian artist Péter Sallai (Sabaton, Sacred Steel).

Guitarist Tony Asta offers the following comment on the new single, “Not Your Slave“: “We’re really happy with the crushing feel of this song. Somehow through the writing process, maybe even on accident, a more groovy feel was created. We won’t write the same record twice and I think this is our strongest and more dynamic album yet.

The upcoming US tour also puts an end to the band’s search for a permanent drummer, with bay area’s Alex Bent now firmly in place behind the kit. After performing with the band on two 2014 headliners and in South America, Alex officially joined and tracked drums for the new album. He can be seen here performing “Ghost Alive” last winter on the Winter Warriors Tour
