New Members Of Nile Interviewed In San Francisco

New members Brian Kingsland and Brad Parris took some time to talk about playing with George Kollias, gear and the bands focus and plans for 2017 and more in the videos below with Todd Owens of Capital Chaos TV during their recent stop @ Silms in San Francisco, California while on tour opening for Overkill.

After this tour the band is tentatively scheduled to return to Europe this summer for a series of metal festivals followed by a WSNBU-Latin America tour. NILE is already working on songs for their next album which will be recorded in late 2017 for an early 2018 release. More info will be released in the coming months.

NILE founding member Karl Sanders comments: “I would like to personally thank Dallas Toler-Wade for his many years with the band, and sincerely wish him well with his music. All of us in NILE are truly happy and thankful to be working with Brian. Not only is he a seriously talented Extreme Metal Guitar Shredder, but he has a great Brutal Metal voice, with a very versatile range. Brian is also a genuine, down-to-earth hard-working and motivated guy who has helped reignite and re-establish a sense of team work back into NILE. With the addition of Brian on guitar and vocals, the band right now seems to me a lot more like the early years of NILE – the classic NILE era when we were all functioning as a cohesive unit, in viciously brutal triple vocal attack mode. The mood in the NILE rehearsal room for the last 3 months has been focused and relaxed; with 4 positive, energized, hard working people all on the same metal page. We simply can’t wait to share what we have been working on with metal fans on the upcoming OVERKILL Tour. Between the addition of Brian, and bassist/vocalist Brad Parris now in his 2nd year in the band, this line-up is going to crush skulls. Seriously, the last time I felt this strongly about a NILE line-up was when George Kollias joined the band.”
Drummer George Kollias comments: “I want to thank Dallas for everything he did for NILE all these years, its been some amazing years and I wish him the best with his new project! Also, I want to say a big ‘Welcome to NILE’ to Brian Kingsland! Brian is an amazing guitar player/vocalist and he has brought a very fresh vibe to the band, we are so looking forward to get out there and deliver the best metal you ever heard from us! See you all on the road!”

“All of us in NILE are really looking forward to the upcoming USA Tour with OVERKILL. This tour is going to be metal as fuck,” continues NILE Mastermind Karl Sanders.

The Vans Warped Tour is well known as America’s longest running touring music festival of the summer. Since 1995, the tour has been a showcase for both established and up and coming talent, across a wide range of eclectic sub-genres. The tour has also cemented its place in history by bringing alternative rock and skate culture from the underground to the forefront of global youth culture, while at the same time helping those in need through non-profit and eco initiatives.
In celebration of today’s announcement, Barb Wire Dolls are pleased to reveal their brand new music video for their track, “Desperate”. Taken from their full-length 2016 Motörhead Music release of the same name, the “Desperate” video is an edgy and somewhat restless experience for the viewer.

Wednesday 13 “What The Night Brings” music video released

Wednesday 13 has revealed a brand new video for ‘What The Night Brings’, the first track taken from his forthcoming album, Condolences and first for new record label home, Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

The track is now available at iTunes, Amazon and all good DSPs and you can pre-order the Condolences album in an array of different digital and physical formats, including a few limited run colored vinyl versions at here.

Wednesday tells us “I’m really excited to unveil the new video for ‘What The Night Brings’, the first track from our upcoming album, Condolences. It kicks off our new album and really sets the tone for the rest of it. We worked on the video with director Matt Zane (SOCIETY ONE) and he really helped bring a spooky vibe. The song reminds me of a heavy metal version of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ theme! It was also a lot of fun filming the extra scenes too, where I get to dress up like a demon at a ritual! I never knew that singing with fangs would be so difficult, but I made it work!”

Condolences will be released June 2, 2017 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (HATEBREED, ROB ZOMBIE). Artwork was created by Travis Smith (OPETH, KATATONIA, NEVERMORE).

Condolences track list:
01. Last Rites
02. What The Night Brings
03. Cadaverous
04. Blood Sick
05. Good Riddance
06. You Breathe, I Kill
07. Omen Amen
08. Cruel To You
09. Eulogy XIII
10. Prey For Me
11. Lonesome Road To Hell
12. Condolences
13. Death Infinity

Wednesday 13 is confirmed to headline the Dogtooth Stage at Download Festival on Saturday 10th June with his full electric set, as well as two additional shows in Dublin (Thu 8th Jun at Voodoo Lounge) and Belfast (Fri 9th June at Limelight 2).

Cliterati To Release Seven-Inch Edition Of Self-Titled EP Via Tankcrimes

Portland hardcore punk brutalizers CLITERATI – featuring within its riotous ranks Poison Idea, Voetsek, and Murderess alumni – released their self-titled EP via Tankcrimes late last year. The five-track bruiser, which was recorded and mixed by Andrew Grosse and mastered by Jose DeLara at Caravan Studios on their home turf in Oregon, will now see release on seven-inch via Tankcrimes on April 7th.
Orders for the Cliterati seven-inch (100 in black; 400 in pink) are available

RIGHT HERE (direct order includes instant digital download). Stream the EP in full at the Tankcrimes Bandcamp page RIGHT HERE.

“CLITERATI is a band who believe in equality through inclusion. We are queer, straight, people of color, and white,” relays screamer Ami Lawless. “Our influences include the bands Doom, L7, and Bolt Thrower with a healthy dose of Pacific Northwest D-punk. This band was brought together by Amelia Collins and we continue in loving memory of her vision to bring a breath of fresh air to Portland punk. These five rippers are the result of spending many hours in a dark dank Portland basement while smoking copious amounts of weed. Hopefully these songs will make you wanna get your clit in the pit. The positive responses at our live shows has been off the hook.”
CLITERATI will take their d-beats to the streets later this week for a short run of West Coast dates including performances with Swedish hardcore punk miscreants DS-13 with additional live abrasions in the plotting stages.

Power Trip Premieres Video For “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)”

Texas’ Power Trip has released their official video for “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” through an exclusive premiere at Nosey. The band continues to tour the planet in support of their Nightmare Logic LP, as they are currently torching the West Coast of North America and will head to Europe in the coming weeks.

Power Trip’s new video for their hit single “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” takes us front and center, into the eye of what is guaranteed to be a perfect storm time and time again. The footage, captured at a spirited hometown show in Dallas melts with clips of political propaganda which encompass vocalist Riley Gale’s lyrics that hone in on the devaluation of human life by those who’ve gained power through money and politics. The video was directed by Andy Capper (Vice, Noisey) with director of photography Joel Pront, and editor Andrew Betsch.

Slagduster Release New Heavyness

Hailing from Grand Forks, B.C, named after, as vocalist Shane Sherman explains, “a slang term local to our area for a piece of machinery that was used in the mines over a hundred years ago.” Isolation has most certainly bred inspiration in the shape of Slagduster. “We are the only four musicians in our small town driven to form a progressive metal band.”

Inspired by such giants as Goijira. Sikth, Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried And Me, Shane describes Slagduster’s sound as “progressive, groovy, creative, unique, heavy.”

Shane feels their new album ‘Deadweight’ will be well received by fans. “Naturally our sound has come a long way since our debut release in 2010. The music is more complex, and much more developed, still heavy, but even more groove based. Listeners can expect to be challenged by focusing on the compositions, or lost in the musical landscape.”

‘Deadweight’ is due out on May 5, 2017 and will be available through all major online retailers.
