Death Angel Announces Artwork And Pre-order For “The Evil Divide”‏

Death Angel will appear at Norcal Tattoo and Music Festival April 8th-10th in Sacramento, California

San Francisco Bay Are thrash legends, DEATH ANGEL, have released a trailer previewing new music and the album cover to their upcoming release The Evil Divide.

Norcal 1

Artwork was created by tattoo artist Bob Tyrrell.
“Both Mark and I had been tattooed by Bob, and when the subject of album artwork came up,” comments guitaristRob Cavestaney. “We approached him to create the design. We wanted an image that would represent the idea ofThe Evil Divide; something beautiful, yet simultaneously wicked, hence the death moth. Bob realized our vision with mere pencil and paper, and now we proudly present to you the cover art for our 8th studio album, The Evil Divide.”
The Evil Divide will be released on May 27, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was once again recorded atAudioHammer studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, DEICIDE), who previously worked on 2010’s Relentless Retribution and 2013’s The Dream Calls For Blood. Mastering duties were handled by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York City.

Three decades into their celebrated career, DEATH ANGEL remain as hungry as ever.
As a result, uncompromising urgency and unpredictability define the Bay Area thrash quintet’s eighth full-length album, The Evil Divide [Nuclear Blast]. The group—Mark Osegueda [vocals], Rob Cavestany [lead guitar], TedAguilar [guitar], Will Carroll [drums], and Damien Sisson [bass]—satiate the appetite for buzzsaw speed riffs, double bass mayhem, and scorching vocals over the course of ten new anthems.
The Evil Divide stands out as the culmination of thirty-plus years of music for DEATH ANGEL. It kicked off with legendary debut, The Ultra-Violence, in 1987. The classic Frolic Through The Park began to cement their legacy and even earned the distinction of landing on Loudwire’s list of the “Top Ten Thrash Albums NOT Released by The Big 4.” The group broke up following 1990’s Act III only to reunite in 2004 on Art of Dying for the next generation.
In 2008, DEATH ANGEL teamed with producer Nick Raskulinecz [Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Rush,Mastodon] for Killing Season recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606. In 2010, Relentless Retribution boasted a cameo from virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela, while 2013’s The Dream Calls For Blood bowed at #72 on the Billboard Top 200, selling 5,400 copies first-week and earning the group’s first-ever entry onto that respective chart.
Beyond continued public praise from the likes of James Hetfield of Metallica and Robb Flynn of Machine Head, the band’s music has popped up everywhere from Carl’s Jr. commercials to Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. Their fire burns brighter than ever in 2016.

New Slayer Video – “You Against You” – A Bloody Carnage‏

“You Against You” is the prequel to “Repentless,” SLAYER’s brutal 2015 video filmed at an L.A. prison that has logged nearly 7.5 million YouTube views. Like “Repentless,” “You Against You” was directed by BJ McDonnell, stars Jason Trost “(Hatchet III”) as Wyatt, the eyepatched rebel inmate, and tells the story of the circumstances that led to Wyatt’s erroneous arrest and imprisonment.

In SLAYER’s song “You Against You,” vocalist Tom Araya screams “Your perfect world is ending this day, So what? I wouldn’t have it any other way.” And so, from the very first frame of the band’s “You Against You” music video, the gore, the violence, the projectile-blood-spewing and the carnage begins and just never end.

“You Against You” is the prequel to “Repentless,” SLAYER’s brutal 2015 video filmed at an L.A. prison that has logged nearly 7.5 million YouTube views. SLAYER’s performance of “You Against You” was shot deep in the heart of California’s Mojave desert earlier this year in a graveyard of jets, airliners, and helicopters.

“After the ‘Repentless’ video,” said SLAYER’s Tom Araya, “BJ delivers with ‘You Against You.’ Fucking awesome!!!”

Repentless, SLAYER’s 12th studio album, was released on 9/11/15, making its career-highest debut on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, coming in at #4 and scanning 50,000 units. The album also debuted in the Top 5 in the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, Czech, Greece and Sweden, and was the #2 best-selling album in the world on the United World Chart. In addition, Repentless received spectacular press response – “Metal Album of the Year” (Guitar World), “…prime fu**ing Slayer…” (Metal Hammer), “…thrash redefined, upgraded and reborn, a return to the essence of who Slayer is.” (Houston Press) Slayer is currently in the final weeks of its winter 2016 North American tour with Testament and Carcass supporting. ABOUT SLAYER:
For more than three decades, SLAYER’s onslaught has proven the band to be the supreme thrash-metal band on the planet, the band that other heavy acts are measured against and aspire to. The two-time Grammy-winners have also accumulated an abundance of certified Gold Albums along with “Best…” awards from media outlets all over the world, including Kerrang!, SPIN, Metal Hammer, Revolver, and Esquire. Throughout SLAYER’s history, the band has never faltered in unleashing its extreme and focused sonic assault, and, unlike many of its contemporaries who “commercialized” their sound, SLAYER has remained crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the mainstream. Slayer’s founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt has been filling in for him since. Paul Bostaph, who was SLAYER’s drummer from ’94 – ’01, has rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King, and is back behind the kit.

Conan To Hit Sacramento And Oakland In March 2016

Hear the roar of battle. Smell the stench of split blood. A thousand heads piled high like a grim mound of suffering- a blasphemy to nature. Hail Conan!

conan

Conan are as heavy as interplanetary thunder amplified through the roaring black hole anus of Azathoth. A three piece, in the grand tradition of many amazing fabulous three pieces that hold a tight line and an iron-grip command over the uber-synchronised chord changes and tempo-shifts of the holy trio of bass, drums and guitar. Two men have the task of vocalising wretched thoughts over the turgid weight of Conan. They bear it well, for the task is immense.

Way back, in 2006, Conan formed as a two piece. The years dragged by, fellow warriors came and went, and now they are three – Jon Davis on guitar and vocals, Chris Fielding on bass and vocals and Rich Lewis on drums. Collectively their plans are clear: they seek nothing less than the crushing of a million skulls.

They have committed their filthy, ocean-sized sound to wax (and the slightly less cvlt compact disc) twice thus far- with more fetid output always on the horizon. First came the hulking mass of debut album Horseback Battle Hammer (Throne, Aurora Borealis), followed by a split with like-minded sludge-lords, Slomatics (Head of Crom, Burning World). In December 2011 Conan returned to the remote wilderness of Foel Studio, Wales and into the capable hands of producer Chris Fielding for their next album which is to be released on Burning World Records in Spring 2012.

Hear the roar of battle. Smell the stench of split blood. A thousand heads piled high like a grim mound of suffering- a blasphemy to nature. Hail Conan!
