Blood For You: A Literary Tribute to GG Allin

GG Allin was confined to a world where he couldn’t fulfill his potential. He punched and kicked at the boundaries, eager for something bigger, something crazier, something much more fucked up.

gg

Think GG was extreme? You don’t know the half of it.

GG Allin’s exploits are legendary. The music, the shows, the violence, the bodily fluids. But GG Allin was confined to a world where he couldn’t fulfill his potential. He punched and kicked at the boundaries, eager for something bigger, something crazier, something much more fucked up. But the real world refused to give him the adventures he needed.

Now, thanks to underground fiction’s most talented scumfucs, GG is cast in a series of adventures that truly befit his outlaw spirit. In these pages, GG Allin is a secret agent, engaging in cult-smashing missions in exchange for dirty sex with George and Barbara Bush. He’s a shit-eating, spaceship-piloting and time-traveling savior of humanity. He’s an orisha, called upon to save prisoners from ‘roid rage mutant guards. He’s one half of a deepfried onion ring ouroboros with his soulmate John Wayne Gacy. He’s thousands of clones living inside your giant robot body.

Dire Peril

John Yelland – Vocals (Judicator)
Jason Ashcraft – Rhythm, Lead, Acoustic & Bass Guitars (Helion Prime)

Jason states: The new version of the song “Queen of the Galaxy” (2015) is a re-recording from the band’s EP of the same name and will once again feature Unleash the Archers vocalist Brittney Slayes. “I always knew I would want to redo a song from one of the first Dire Peril EP’s as the production was never quite there in terms of what I wanted for the band. When the time came to choose a song, I felt this one fit the theme of the album perfectly.”

“The theme behind the album is that each song is based off a different sci-fi related film: Predator, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Enemy Mine, K-PAX, Forbidden Planet, Total Recall, Barbarella, Starship Troopers, The Thing, The Riddick Series and 2001: A Space Odyssey”.

“I can’t wait to get this album out. It has been a long time coming for Dire Peril to release a full length and honestly something that should have happened long ago. We are hard at work right now getting this album recorded and more news will follow to include the album release date”.

Pittsburgh Death/Thrash Outfit Hemotoxin to Release ‘Biological Enslavement’ in April on Unspeakable Axe Records‏

Categorizing what kind of music HEMOTOXIN makes is harder than it would seem. Their brand of melodic death/thrash springs from a whole host of metal influences: progressive death metal (e.g. DEATH, ATHEIST), classic thrash (MEGADETH, SLAYER and others), and even some black metal and prog rock.

Progressive Death/Thrash Outfit HEMOTOXIN will release sophomore full-length Biological Enslavement April 15 on Unspeakable Axe Records.

Any given song could groove, then thrash, then send you through a dizzying labyrinth of elaborate riffs and ideas.  Somehow they juggle all these influences and produce from it a cohesive whole, while keeping the aggression high and the song’s core melodic components front and center.

Whatever they are doing, HEMOTOXIN do it very well, and they’ve only gotten tighter and more adventurous as a unit since their 2013 debut.  Now their follow-up full-length is ready to be unleashed.  At 9 tracks and just 35 succinct minutes, Biological Enslavement will take you on a journey more interesting than most albums twice its length.
Biological Enslavement will be made available for pre-order in mid-March through the Unspeakable Axe Store and label Bandcamp page.
Track Listing:
1. Decadence
2. Regression
3. Minus Human
4. Not of this World
5. Forgotten Faces
6. The Alchemist
7. Bleak Prognosis
8. A Journey Through Dreams
9. Transparent Eyes

The Contortionist Announce Spring Headlining Tour Dates

“The spring tour is going to be stacked, no exception. We are hitting the road with our friends on a tour we have been working to get together since ‘Language’ came out. We can’t wait to bring this spectacle around the U.S.”

The Contortionist will hit the road yet again this spring in continued support of their latest release. Monuments, Entheos and Sleepmakeswaves will serve as support through the end of April. “Over the months of touring behind Language, we would imagine an ideal lineup and the same names kept coming up,” says keyboardist Eric Guenther. “We always get psyched on tours with huge variety and dynamic shifts through every band.”

Nilexistence

Moravia, NY Death Metallers NilExistence have debuted new song “Pitch Black Perception” from debut album Existence in RevelationNilExistence will release Existence in Revelation on March 25. The album includes a 12-page booklet with artwork by Seth Siro Anton (Septicflesh), and was mixed/mastered at Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Decapitated, Vader)  by the Wiesławski brothers in Poland.

Drummer/vocalist Kyle Kratzer (ex-Disfigured Dead) had this to say about the album title and lyrical content:

“Existence In Revelation is based on the life experiences that have affected Dave Gruver (guitar/vocals) and myself during the writing period. The idea behind the title comes from how I personally felt when in the midst of a darker period. When one finds himself in a “revelation” type state, they have a few choices in which to handle the new information or realization they discovered; they may take the newly acquired knowledge and expand upon their problem/life, take nothing from the experience and brush it off, or stay stuck in the revelation itself (which is the route explored on the album.) As if in a bubble, one neither acts nor fails to act upon the new knowlegde, but instead remains within the revelation (bubble). The lyrics are based upon what I saw and learned within this revelation.”

Track Listing:
1. The Quietus
2. This Throne’s Carved From Greed
