Kublai Khan will head back out on this summer, spending August and September on the road in support of their latest release New Strength.

This will be the band’s first American tour since December 2015 due to the fact that lead vocalist Matthew Honeycutt suffered unforeseen nerve damage to his arm and back.

Honeycutt has made a full recovery and doctors have given him the green light to tour again.

Kublai Khan will be supported by Philly’s finest Jesus Piece and by Malevolence, who are the pride of Sheffield, England.

“We are excited to be getting back on our grind with Jesus Piece and Malevolence,” Honeycutt said. “I am stoked to be back on the road where we belong.”

Shel Cover Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” in New Video Announce “Just Crazy Enough Challenge”‏

Paring the song down to softly delivered vocals and spare acoustic instrumentation, the version of the track is as disconcerting as it is beautiful… The audio-visual subtlety of this track makes for an extremely unique cover that hits a totally different chord of terror than the original.”

SHEL have shared a new video for their haunting cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. The video premiered on Nerdist, who writes that SHEL has “created the platonic ideal of one of the metal group’s classic numbers. Paring the song down to softly delivered vocals and spare acoustic instrumentation, the version of the track is as disconcerting as it is beautiful… The audio-visual subtlety of this track makes for an extremely unique cover that hits a totally different chord of terror than the original.”

The group recently released a video for their song “Rooftop”, which was directed and self-produced by SHEL while on tour in Europe, and premiered with Baeble Music.
Both tracks will be featured on their upcoming release Just Crazy Enough, the second full length record from the Nashville-based band of sisters. Produced by Dave Stewart (best known for his work with the Eurythmics), the album features the captivating harmonies and intriguing rhythms that are emblematic of SHEL’s inventive songwriting. Just Crazy Enough will be released on May 13th.
In preparation for the album and upcoming tour, the band has also released a video announcing the “Just Crazy Enough Challenge,” which invites fans to consider the ethical implications of their fashion choices while highlighting their favorite ethically-sourced apparel. Lead vocalist Eva Holbrook explains, “The idea is you make a ‘capsule’ wardrobe, using only eight items and ten accessories. But you can only use items that you already own or your purchase from a thrift store or ethically-sourced company.”
The four sisters of SHEL have amassed a loyal fanbase due to a defiantly DIY approach marked by tireless touring and genre-twisting music that wears its heart on its sleeve. Raised on an abandoned trailer park that the family restored and turned into a farm, the they had an unconventional and imaginative upbringing in the foothills of Fort Collins, Colorado. Each found an instrument to master early on, studying classical music while composing and arranging with Sarah on violin, Hannah on piano, Eva on mandolin, and Liza on drums, djembe and beatboxing. Using their first initials, the band created an acronym – SHEL. Sarah, Hannah, Eva, and Liza Holbrook like to say they are “four sisters, traveling the world, tellin’ tales, and sharing a dream.” The band released their 2012 self-titled debut to great acclaim, and were embraced by MTVUSA TodayAmerican Songwriter, and many more.

One Eyed Doll And Eyes Set To Kill Release Depeche Mode Cover; Vision Tour Kicks Off

One-Eyed Doll offered this insight on the collaboration, “One-Eyed Doll and Eyes Set To Kill have been long time fans of each other. So when we put this tour together, the first thing we wanted to do was get into the studio and collaborate on a song. We’re both huge fans of Depeche Mode and ‘Enjoy The Silence’ is such an amazing and classic song, it was a natural choice.”

Theatrical-rock duo ONE-EYED DOLL announced earlier this year that they would be embarking on a co-headlining Spring tour with fellow female-fronted rockers EYES SET TO KILL.  The “Visions Tour” will kick off on March 16, 2016, with support from OPEN YOUR EYES.  To celebrate the upcoming trek, ONE-EYED DOLL and EYES SET TO KILL have teamed up to release a cover of Depeche Mode’s hit, “Enjoy The Silence.”  The track will be available on May 1, 2016, but “Visions Tour” ticket holders will be sent an early, pre-release copy of the song. Tickets must be purchase at the following link to be eligible for the pre-release: http://www.oneeyeddoll.com/tour.

A true DIY success story, One-Eyed Doll has organically gained somewhat of a cult fan-base.  With their captivating and interactive live performances, consistent touring, and personal connection with fans, it’s no wonder that the duo – consisting of only vocalist and guitarist Kimberly Freeman and drummer Jason “Junior” Sewell – have been buzzing since 2006. Adored by fans and press alike, One-Eyed Doll has been direct support for Orgy, Mushroomhead, Wayne Static of Static-X, Otep, and countless others. Freeman was also deemed one of Guitar Player Magazine’s “Top 20 Most Extraordinary Female Guitar Players” and one of Revolver Magazine’s “Top 5 Most Influential Women In Music.”  Their new record ‘Witches’ – a concept album based on historical research of the Salem Witch Hysteria – was released on Standby Records earlier this year.  The full album can be heard here.
