When Worlds Collide: FIENDS AT FEAST and TRAGIC DEATH join metal forces for this devastating split album! Both bands bring to the chopping block their own unique take on the fusion of Black and Death Metal, with each of their styles complementing each other, creating an aural experience of occult blasphemy and frigid darkness.

FIENDS AT FEAST return to Horror Pain Gore Death with a sound of vicious hellfire and unrelenting aggression, featuring vocals that conjure up apocalyptic prophecies and sacrilegious zeal. TRAGIC DEATH from Madison, WI and harness the desolate cold of the frozen north to create songs that are hauntingly melodic, bringing to mind perilous journeys with awe-inspiring landscapes of nature and thought.

FIENDS AT FEAST strive to create music that builds upon a foundation of Old School Death and Black Metal influences, while also infusing contemporary ideas and originality. Imaginative, dark, evil, passionate musicianship with distinctive satanic lyrics and imagery. For fans of DISSECTION, EMPEROR, GORGOROTH, IMMOLATION, IMMORTAL, MARDUK, MORBID ANGEL and WATAIN.

TRAGIC DEATH are a power trio that play ‘Apocalyptic Metal’ style; an amalgam of Black Metal, Thrash, and Death Metal. The result is a furious, unrelenting sound that not only crushes with its brutality, but also hypnotizes with a transcendental atmosphere. The vocals are introspective without compromising any aggression or venomous dictation that is characteristic of Black Metal. For fans of ROTTING CHRIST, DISSECTION, IMMORTAL, ENSLAVED and DEATHSPELL OMEGA.

TESLA, ‘SO DIVINE’ – VIDEO PREMIERE

(NEW YORK, NY) – Multi-platinum selling rock act TESLA have debuted an all new video for their latest single “So Divine…

TESLA released an all new LP titled SIMPLICITY on June 10th, 2014 via Tesla Electric Company Recording’s arrangement with Entertainment One Music and Distribution.

Simplicity has seen quite the onslaught of critical praise, “Tesla do what Aerosmith used to be king at and fail to do now: produce perfectly biting, raucous hard rock,” says Goldmine Magazine and Blabbermouth states: “TESLA 2014 admirably sounds like themselves a quarter of a century ago and that’s remarkable. Moreover, they sound better in this cruder, more untreated state.”

SIMPLICITY is the band’s seventh studio full length LP and fifteenth release overall. The new effort is the followup to FOREVER MORE, which was released in October 2008 and featured the single “I Wanna Live.”

TESLA locked themselves away for weeks writing the new material that would become SIMPLICITY with long time A&R man Tom Zutaut. Fourteen solid tracks later the band sank their teeth in while recording began at bassist Brian Wheat’s very own J Street Recorders. Legendary engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) was then tapped to put the final touches in place.

Fresh off the MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE, the band has quite the itinerary of tour dates throughout the rest of 2014. Click here for all tour dates.

Formed in 1981, TESLA have firmly carved out their own space in rock and roll history. The band saw great success with their own rendition of the 1971 classic “Signs” and their own hit single “Love Song” from the The Great Radio Controversy, released in 1989.

TESLA is: Frank Hannon – Brian Wheat – Jeff Keith – Troy Luccketta – Dave Rude

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT invites you to sing on ‘Z2’‏

Devin Townsend has been hard at work on the new Z2 record for the past few months, getting it ready to welcome Ziltoid The Omniscient back this autumn. Much like Devin did with the “Lucky Animals” video from Epicloud, he is now inviting fans to leave their stamp on the forthcoming album by asking them to submit their vocals for a selection of songs and take their spot in what he has dubbed “The Universal Choir”.

For full details about how you can participate (and even get a sneak peek at 3 songs from the new record), head over to The Universal Choir website to find out more: http://universalchoir.insideoutmusic.com/

Devin comments:
“Hey all, ‘Ziltoid 2’ is upon us! I’m deep in the recording of this double album, and as part of the theme, Ziltoid the alien joins forces with the humans…and what better way to express that then to invite you all to sing along? The ‘Universal Choir’ is a platform in which vocal parts are explained, and then provides you a way to upload your singing contributions that we will edit together into one, big choir! The parts are a little tricky but perfection is not required, just enthusiasm. Feel free to overdub yourself, get a bunch of friends together, or just yell along, the bigger the better. Send it back and we will then assemble the ‘Universal Choir’ which will actually be part of the new recording. It should be fun! (Or a total chaotic mess 🙂 but let’s try either way! The website, (which works best if it’s not on a mobile device), explains all the parts, with demonstrations and backing tracks. The hope is that a lot of people will upload themselves singing the parts, and then we assemble it and add it to the record. Come sing on Ziltoid’s album, and have a great time!”
– Devin Townsend

The deadline for submissions is June 25th, so get singing now!

OBITUARY and Relapse Records Join Forces

OBITUARY has partnered up with Relapse Records to release the band’s highly anticipated new album. One of the most influential and important death metal bands of all time, OBITUARY have completed recording their highly anticipated 9th studio album and first full-length in over five years.

Self-recorded this April by the band at their own RedNeck Studio in Gibsonton, FL, the group is currently wrapping up the final mixes. The band commented on the new material:

“We don’t know how to explain it but we really hit the “metal nail” on the head with this album. We have been writing and working on the new material for nearly 3 years now and we could not be more excited how these songs have all turned out. All the stars seem to have aligned for us and this release, with the songs, production and overall feel of this record, the band is more solid than ever.”

The album recording was funded by an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign in late 2013. Now the band has partnered with Relapse worldwide to maximize the release and impact of what is surely their heaviest and most cohesive record in 20 years. The group elaborated on the decision to create the Kickstarter campaign and sign with Relapse.

“We always knew that our fans were some of the most devoted fans on the planet and they proved it by stepping up, being a part of something new and supporting us with our KickStarter campaign. This was an amazing display of true fan support and we could not be more proud of everyone who helped raise the money to record this album by pre-ordering it, buying all the cool stuff we offered and just being a part of something that we believe will be the way of the future.

Now we have teamed up with Relapse Records to have them get this new album out there, in stores and available to the fans world wide. We are very excited about our partnership with Relapse and are looking forward to working beside them with the release. They are a great label and super cool people who have shown us that they are excited to have Obituary on their roster and are ready to push this album to its fullest potential.”

An album title, track titles and release date will be announced shortly.
