Italian symphonic death metal horde, Fleshgod Apocalypse, recently announced that they filmed a new promotional video, for “Epilogue”. The track is taken from the band’s latest album, Labyrinth.

The video was directed by Francesco Paoli and Salvatore Perrone and features special guests soprano vocalist Veronica Bordacchini, guitarist Marco Sensi and cellist Shamatiyenko Kostyantyn. A special thanks from the band goes out to the crew involved in the making of the video: Marco “Napo” Ghirga, Daniele Sensi, Matteo Flori and to the Brainstorm Agency Video Crew: Francesco Rufini, Andrea Proietti and Giacomo Paracciani.

The band commented: “We are really proud of the results obtained with this new video, both technically and artistically talking. Together with our good friend and director Salvatore Perrone, we decided to experience a completely different way of shooting from the previous videos, using almost only sliders and craigs that give a very cinematographic style to the whole thing. We chose the song “Epilogue” since we consider it a very important song for the band. In fact, on a musical level, it contains some of the more particular elements of the whole album, for which regards the riffing and the arrangements. On the other hand, the song summarises the whole concept contained in Labyrinth, bringing up the deepest meanings of fear, and the way they reflect on our relationships; to represent this, we used Tommaso and Veronica as two main characters that interact with each other, exactly like it happens in the live shows. As usual, we want to thank everybody who contributed to the making of this video, and all the people supporting Fleshgod Apocalypse.”

Labyrinth was released on August 16th, 2013 via Nuclear Blast. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio and hones in on the band’s unique traits, giving fans everything they could hope for and more. Colin Marks (Origin, Kataklysm) created the cover artwork, as well as several pieces for a massive inlay.

“We are thrilled to announce that we will be returning to North America with our blood brothers in Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance and Necronomicon,” comments SEPTICFLESH. “This promises to be a night in darkness to be remembered as we prepare to unleash our colossal new album ‘Titan.'”

“We are proud to announce that this summer, we’ll be your guests for the Conquerors of the World North American tour,” adds Fleshgod Apocalypse. “Once again, we’ll be joining forces with Greek symphonic metal legends SEPTICFLESH. We’ll be sharing the stage with our Italian brothers Hour of Penance and Necronomicon as well. The apocalypse is set for the end of June, so don’t miss it!”

Tour dates will be announced shortly, so stay tuned!

Still riding high from the success of their critically acclaimed 2011 album “The Great Mass,” Hellenic metallers SEPTICFLESH will release their new full-length album, “Titan,” on June 24 via Prosthetic Records in North America. The new CD consists of 10 songs that were recorded once again at Devasoundz Studios in Athens, Greece and in the Czech Republic with the collaboration of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra And Choir. From there, the album was mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by acclaimed producer Logan Mader (Gojira, Fear Factory, Cavalera Conspiracy). Fans can pre-order the album here.

Fleshgod Apocalypse released their latest record, Labyrinth, this past August via Nuclear Blast Records. “The concept of this album is based on the myth of the Labyrinth of Knossos and every character related to it,” stated vocalist/guitarist Tommaso Riccardi recently. “We focused on the philological aspect in order to represent all the elements of the classic world and, through manic and meticulous research, managed to create a metaphor with our times, as the maze can be associated with the endless search for what we really are.”
