Announced today, Guadalajara, Mexico’s avant-garde, punk band Descartes a Kant will be performing at 2018’s Iceland Airwaves Festival, which takes place November 7th-10th in Reykjavik, Iceland. Early Bird tickets are on sale now at icelandairwaves.is.
Also announced today, Descartes a Kant has premiered a visually stunning new video for their single “Apricot Dreams” from their debut album, Victims of Love Propaganda, which is available from Cleopatra Records. Watch the video below.

Commenting on the new video, Memo Ibarra (bassist/synth-programming) says, “We are very excited about this video, it’s a result of a collective effort with many talented friends like director Mauro Babún and cinematographer Gamaliel de Santiago, among many others. It’s the music videoclip debut of Mauro, who has previously worked with us directing the live visuals, album artwork and costumes.. He’s like our image guru. We believe he nailed Descartes a Kant’s universe to perfection and captured this track’s sensibilities with these powerful images.”
Hailing from Guadalajara, Descartes a Kant is one of Latin America’s most imaginative acts. Since their inception in 2001, the band has garnered attention throughout the underground scene with riveting live shows and eccentric and frantic blend of punk-metal-shoegaze-noise music. Momentum continues for the band with their debut album, Victims of Love Propaganda.
