Oxnard, CA-based crossover thrashers Dead Heat have confirmed an October 10th release date for their upcoming album, Process Of Elimination. This marks the band’s first full-length effort since signing with Metal Blade Records in May 2024.
The album was co-produced by the band and acclaimed producer Paul Fig, known for his work with Deftones and Jerry Cantrell.
Leading the charge is the blistering new single “Perpetual Punishment”, now available to stream. Speaking on the choice to introduce the record with this track, vocalist Chris Ramos shared:
“We chose this song to start Process… because when it hits, it’s hard, and has a great flow. The song is about not wasting your time in life because tomorrow simply isn’t promised. If there’s something you want to do with your life, do it now, don’t waste your existence thinking about all the things you could have done. It’s a key theme I always try to portray in lyrical form, or even in random stage banter. I feel like it’s what keeps me going every day.”
