New Era Begins: WILTWITHER Releases Single and Video Premiere

Wiltwither kicked down the door today with the premiere of their debut single ‘Front Door Phobia’, the first glimpse of their upcoming album Pure Light. The track, now streaming on YouTube and Spotify, packs an extra punch with a guest spot from Johnny Booth frontman Andrew Herman—who also crashes the music video with a cameo appearance.”

Metalcore’s newest demolition crew Wiltwither aren’t just creeping onto the scene — they’re smashing through the damn front door. The band have officially joined forces with Periphery’s powerhouse label 3DOT Recordings, and if you needed a sign they’re the real deal, Periphery riff lord Misha Mansoor is already singing their praises:

“We think Wiltwither is doing something different than most of the bands in their scene and are pushing the limits of heavy music. Their new songs are a complete step up from their previous work, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear them.”

🚪 Leading the charge? The bone-crushing single “Front Door Phobia” — a track that feels less like a song and more like being shoved headfirst into society’s ugliest realities. Wiltwither don’t sugarcoat a thing:

“‘Front Door Phobia’ touches on the graphic nature of modern society. It unapologetically explores concepts of isolation, political unrest, and the ever-growing tally of daily war crimes in a visceral, adrenaline-pumping track. Relentless low end crushes against you as you’re assaulted by panicked vocals and screeching guitars reminding you that every moment spent amongst ‘the public’ may be your last.

Oh, and did we mention Andrew Herman of Johnny Booth steps into the fire? Not only does he lay down guest vocals, but he straight-up appears in the video too — a tag-team nightmare no fan of heavy music will want to miss.

But Wiltwither aren’t content with just “heavy.” Their debut album Pure Light swings wide and weird, pulling in influences from across the spectrum. Drummer/producer Tyler Syphertt spills the details:

“We took a lot of steps in order to define who we are musically. Much of my background is in hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, so those elements seep through the record. The influences were all over the place—from Kendrick Lamar to Jesus Molina. We got these slight undertones of retro mid-century futurism by researching classified projects like MK Ultra and other historical events. Instead of just being heavy, there’s a ton of ear candy. We took leaps into new territory.”

Frontman Nick Rendelman ties it all together with a gut-punch of sincerity:

“This record discusses the good, the bad, and the ugly of life. It also shows humans coming together and sharing their experiences, thoughts, and perspectives with one another at a level they had never imagined. If you’re experiencing the record as a whole, I’d love for you to walk away caring about your neighbor a little bit more. For as heavy as it is, the message is to be kinder and more compassionate.”

💀 Heavy as hell. Weird as hell. Heart as big as the riffs. Wiltwither’s Pure Light is about to be the record that shatters your speakers and maybe — just maybe — makes you hug your neighbor afterwards.
