Dead Meadow released their new album, The Nothing They Need, on March 2nd, via Xemu Records. Previously, they shared the album’s first single, “Keep Your Head” and also they shared another album stand out, “Nobody Home,” both of which perfectly exemplify the band’s unique marriage of Sabbath riffs, dreamy layers of guitar-fuzz bliss, and singer Jason Simon’s melodic croon. On a surprise May Day stop to Sacramento, the band hit its groove at the Blue Lamp with a full set of goodness. Pictures below.

Scumdogs of the universe and lords of chaos Gwar, attacked the stage at a sold Ace of Spades with an unbridled fury. Bringing the The Blood of Gods Tour, to a standing or squirming room only crowd, in downtown Sacramento, we were all in for a treat as they pummeled us with “War On Gwar”, the first track off the new record and closing the night out with their cover of the AC/DC classic “If You Want Blood, You’ve Got It”
On the evening of cyber Monday 2017, Swedish melodic death metal merchants, Arch Enemy stormed the stage at the sold out Ace Of Spades in downtown Sacramento. As part of their co headlining tour with Trivium, they brought openers, New Jersey’s deathcore unit Fit For An Autopsy and from the United Kingdom, metalcore mavens While She Sleeps. Starting off the set with the instrumental “Set Flame to the Night” they busted straight into “The World Is Yours”, the fourth track off their new album “Will to Power”, out now on Century Media Records, the capacity crowd was whipped into a frenzy of mosh pits and crowd surfing. Below are pictures from our chief photographer Zoran Theodorovic.
