Vancouver Power Trio LA CHINGA “Keep On Rollin” Video Released

Vancouver power trio LA CHINGA are pleased to unveil “Keep On Rollin,'” their newest music video, which can be seen below. The track comes by way of the band’s Beyond The Sky full-length, released in September via Small Stone.

Issues the band of the live clip, “The video for ‘Keep On Rollin” is lysergic vision of LA CHINGA live at The Rickshaw Theatre. Filmed and directed by R. D. Cane, the track is ‘dirtbag pretty’ ode to their ethos and beliefs of livin’… “
LA CHINGA draws from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, MC5, and their own bad habits to conjure the forty-five minutes of sublimely confident freedom rock that comprises Beyond The Sky. Sometimes meaty and beaty (“Mama Boogie,” “Death Rider”), sometimes glam-handed (“Killer Wizard”), and occasionally even dirtbag pretty (“Keep On Rollin’), when it all melts into a puddle of phased goo in the final bars of “Warlords,” the listener has been rolled, boogied, and otherwise supernaturally conveyed well beyond the sky.

The Casualties have released a new song called “Ashes”

NYC street-punk band The Casualties has released a new song called “Ashes” today at ViveLeRock.net. The track is found on the band’s highly anticipated 11th full-length album, Written In Blood, that’s due out on October 26th via Cleopatra Records.
The upcoming record, Written In Blood, will coincide with the band’s appearance on the “Metal Alliance Tour” this fall with Goatwhore, Black Tusk, Great American Ghost, Morthereon and Gozu.
This song is like revenge in reverse! It’s about all of things you do to self sabotage your life and right when the world thinks you’re going to die, you hide out and collect all the broken pieces and put yourself back together. And as you hear all the trash people talk about you, you just continue to take care of yourself and watch as everyone else truly burns up in their own hate. As they say the best revenge is doing good for yourself!” – David Rodriguez
With Written In Blood, The Casualties have returned fully-loaded with angst and attitude and ready to incite a riot with a non-stop onslaught of unapologetic punk. The record features 15 songs that challenge blind societal norms and sociopolitical injustice with the same intense spirit and vigor as when they started nearly 3 decades ago.

Metal Assault Records signs LA post-metal group Dawn Fades

Metal Assault Records is very pleased to unveil its second signing, Los Angeles based post-metal quintet Dawn Fades. Metal Assault has worked with the band for a couple of its events in the LA area this year, and Dawn Fades’ live performance was mesmerizing and magnetic every single time, striking an unimaginable and often unattainable balance between ferocity and finesse, and always exhibiting a wide spectrum of musical expressions within the finite 30-minute duration typically allotted to them as a support act.

It was high time Dawn Fades captured the beautiful intensity of their live performances in the form of studio recordings, and Metal Assault Records is eager and excited to release this set of tunes on the band’s behalf. The self-titled Dawn Fades full-length album is set for release on limited edition vinyl and all digital platforms, on February 8 2019.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM release a new track.

AFM Records is excited to present the new video single “Recover” from the mighty Thrash Metal veterans Flotsam and Jetsam from Phoenix.

“This album kills! It’s all five guys with the gas pedal pushed to the floor for the entire album!” states Ken Mary

“It was cool to have a new element of influence on this album with having Ken’s drum parts to partner with and play in and around his playing that also do with the guitars and vocals. Glad to have had Jacob Hansen bringing this album to the overall sound and energy it has, Jacob really highlights AK’s vocal melodies, as well as Steve and Michael’s songwriting, while the power of the rhythm section drives the songs.” – Michael Spencer

VIOLATION WOUND and SURGIKILL unveil a gory new split EP.

Oakland, California-based VIOLATION WOUND is violent punk band fronted by guitarist/vocalist Chris Reifert (Autopsy, Abscess, Death) alongside bassist Joe Orterry and drummer Matt O’Connell. Forged in a beer and whiskey-soaked basement in June of 2013, VIOLATION WOUND honors the raw, dirty, and pissed off ways of the genre’s original innovators, while carving out a path to call their own.

Following releases through Horror Pain Gore Death, Peaceville, Tankcrimes and more, and a long line of splits with the likes of Blizzard, Fleshreaper, Deathgrave, Ruin, Cliterati through Tankcrimes, for this split, VIOLATION WOUND cranks out a singular intense track, “Resist! Deny! Defy!,” which was recorded and mixed at Earhammer Studios in Oakland by Greg Wilkinson. Driven to manufacture 100% real punk rock, fueled only by aggression and punishing riffs, fans of Toxic Narcotic, Zeke, and Fear pay heed.

With members strewn throughout Ohio and Kentucky, SURGIKILL features vocalist Stevo do Caixao of the legendary Impetigo alongside vocalist Vanessa Nocera (Cauldron Burial, Vaultwraith, Wooden Stake), bassist Zdenka Prado (Estuary), guitarist/drummer Ash Thomas (Crusicied Mortals, Estuary, ex-Acheron), vocalist William Sievers, and vocalist/guitarist Billy Nocera (Vaultwraith, ex-Scaremaker). Following releases through F.D.A. Records, No One Records, and others including prior splits on Selfmadegod Records, SURGIKILL here surges forth with another slab of heavy and dark old-school death metal influenced by Impetigo, Autopsy, Incantation, Terrorizer, and the like. The song “Post-Carnage Mishap” was recorded at Frequenscream Studios, engineered by Ash Thomas.

The EP is bound in cover art by Caleb Dickenson conceptualized by Stevo do Caixao, insert artwork by Putrid, layout and design by Justin Stubbs (Enfcoffination), and comes in two 7” vinyl variants, with 100 pressed on green wax and 400 on black.

WURM FLESH ‘Excoriation Evisceration’ coming November 23rd via Comatose Music

Hailing from the California state capital, Wurm Flesh proudly unearths their punishing debut album ‘Excoriation Evisceration’, via Comatose Music. Chaotic tempo changes, stomach churning gutturals, blistering down picked guitar riffs, frenzied blast beats coalesced with extended range, low-end bass carnage. This brutal death metal quartet rises from the rancid soils to consume all that is weak.

This is the ultimate brutal death metal soundtrack, it’s everything that the demented disciples of death crave, everything they hunger for when the bloodlust strikes and cannot be denied. For we all die and become fodder for the belly crawlers. Where kings and beggars are finally one and equal with the maggots…Check out the live video below!
