DESTRUCTION: ‘Thrash Anthems II’ Medley Released
German thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION will release their new “best-of-old-school” album, “Thrash Anthems II”, on November 10 via Nuclear Blast. An official medley of songs that will appear on the disc can be streamed below.
In 2007, DESTRUCTION proved how successful re-recording some of their timeless classics and re-imagining history could be. Tracks like “Frontbeast”, which was only ever released on a demo back in 1983, have been included on the forthcoming release. Fans will also be pleased to hear that Schmier has lent his vocals to the track “Rippin You Off Blind”. The original song features on the CRACKED BRAIN album.

“As it is a part of our past to relaunch classic songs from our history with a fresh face and we had many demands on a »Thrash Anthems« continuation, we decided to do a second part of this re-animation of classic 80s DESTRUCTION material. For us it was important to chose the tracks with the fans and first when NB did not wanna do the album we decided to do a pledge campaign to raise the fonds for the production together with the die-hards.

Warbringer Announce North American Tour With Destruction and Jungle Rot
The highly anticipated WARBRINGER album, Woe to the Vanquished, will be released on March 31st 2017 via Napalm Records. Currently on tour in N. America co-headlining with Havok, and next across Europe in April,WARBRINGER are pleased to announce their next batch of US and Canadian shows as direct support to Destruction with Jungle Rot. Hellbender and Demons Within will appear on select dates. The tour kicks off May 22ndin Oakland, CA and runs through June 11th in Los Angeles, CA. A complete list of dates can be found below.

Destruction Reveal Cover Artwork For “Under Attack”
“I had the vision of the exploding earth with the DESTRUCTION skull as continents before we even had the title,” commented the band.
- Iconic thrash metal band DESTRUCTION have revealed the cover artwork to their upcoming album Under Attack. This stunning visualization was created by acclaimed artist Gyula from Hungary, who has also created artwork for ANNIHLATOR, GRAVE DIGGER, STRATOVARIUS, TANKARD and many more.
- “I had the vision of the exploding earth with the DESTRUCTION skull as continents before we even had the title,” commented the band. “Never has the earth and every individual been so Under Attack: whether it’s environmental issues, wars or politics and media madness, we just destroy everything that we love! The cover brings together the classical concepts of the band’s history and fits in well with the discography…but unfortunately it also represents the current state of the world today!”

The band started the recording sessions for Under Attack after the summer festivals last year and have been recording segments in various studios between September 2015 and January 2016. So far, they have completed the drum recordings with Martin Buchwalter at Gernhart Studios in Germany, as well as completing some basic recordings, mixing and mastering with VO Pulver at Little Creek Studios in Switzerland.
Under Attack is tentatively scheduled for May 13 via Nuclear Blast Records.
