Says guitarist Will Walker, “A song of pain, sacrifice and revenge, ‘Warchief’ is perhaps my favorite track off of the new record. The melodies and the raw emotion of this song made it an easy choice for a video. I hope you all enjoy the song just as much as we enjoyed making it!”

Ambition’s Price will be released tomorrow (April 13), the same day that GRAVESHADOW – who last night performed alongside Exmortus and labelmates Novareign in Fullerton, California – joins Sirenia and Threat Signal for a series of shows along the west coast. From there, the band will play twice in their hometown on April 21 – an acoustic, in-store performance at Dimple Records (Arden Way location), followed by a full, electric record-release show later that night at The Boardwalk.

On Ambition’s Price – the follow-up to the group’s 2015 debut, Nocturnal Resurrection (Mausoleum Records) – GRAVESHADOW deftly mixes symphonic and gothic metal with elements of doom, thrash and epic progressive power metal. The album, which features stunning cover art by Serbian fantasy graphic designer Dusan Markovic (Jag Panzer, Seven Kingdoms, Mystic Prophecy), was produced and mixed by Armand John Anthony (Night Demon, The Fucking Wrath, Gygax), and mastered by Colin Davis at Imperial Mastering (Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth, Origin).

GRAVESHADOW UNVEILS NEW SONG FROM M-THEORY AUDIO DEBUT

The Sacramento-based quintet GRAVESHADOW – who deftly mix symphonic/gothic metal with elements of doom, thrash and epic progressive power metal – have released a riveting new track from their forthcoming M-Theory Audio debut, Ambition’s Price, due out April 13. The song “Doorway To Heaven” can be heard in the video below.

Says vocalist Heather Michele, “When the music for the song was completed, it brought to me feelings of adventure and mysticism. I was reminded of the film ‘Stargate’ from the ’90s and based the lyrics off of that. The odd yet compelling combination of ancient Egyptian imagery with a sci-fi twist has been a favorite of mine for years. It was only a matter of time before we included this tale in our catalog.”

“Doorway To Heaven” – which is also now available digitally for stream or download at iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp and other platforms – marks the second advance taste of Ambition’s Price.

GRAVESHADOW will perform the new songs live next month when they hit the road for a string of West Coast dates with the Norwegian gothic metal act Sirenia and Canada’s Threat Signal. The group, who just played a successful show in their native Sacramento alongside Iced Earth, has also announced a hometown acoustic performance at Dimple Records (Arden Way location) on Record Store Day, April 21. A local record-release show will take place later that night at The Boardwalk.
Ambition’s Price is available now for pre-order via the M-Theory Audio webshop (www.m-theoryaudio.com/store). The stunning and detailed cover art was created by Serbian fantasy graphic designer Dusan Markovic (Jag Panzer, Seven Kingdoms, Mystic Prophecy), while the album was produced and mixed by Armand John Anthony (Night Demon, The Fucking Wrath, Gygax), and mastered by Colin Davis at Imperial Mastering (Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth, Origin).

Helion Prime recruits guitarist Chad Bill Anderson

HELION PRIME is proud to announce the addition of lead guitarist Chad Bill Anderson (DISFORIA) from Salt Lake City, Utah as a full time band member.

Chad has been playing live with Helion Prime for the past year and everyone felt the right move was to just bring Chad in full time.

Chad will make his recording debut on the band’s second album which the band has already begun the writing process for.

Chad has checked in with the following comment: “I’m very excited to be working with such a talented group of musicians and the future is looking very bright indeed!”

First conceived through a common love of heavy metal and science, Helion Prime was born in 2014 when Dire Peril guitarist Jason Ashcraft joined forces with Graveshadow vocalist Heather Michele to forge a new project—between the two, résumés boasted work alongside such greats as Andy LaRocque (King Diamond, Death, etc.), Mark Briody (Jag Panzer), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, etc.), Niklas Isfeldt (Dream Evil) and Brittney Slayes (Unleash The Archers). The name Helion Prime was borrowed from an alien planet featured in the 2004 film The Chronicles of Riddick. The concept? Power metal thematically based on actual scientific theories—with the occasional sci-fi tribute thrown in for good measure.

Their debut EP, “The Drake Equation”, followed in 2015, and Helion Prime’s lineup eventually solidified with the addition of Jeremy Steinhouse on bass and Axiom’s Justin Herzer behind the kit. Almost precisely one year later, the group returned with a self-titled 10-track full-length: independently released by the band in mid-February of 2016 and already out of print!

Helion Prime recently announced their signing to US metal label DiveBomb Records for the re-release of their debut cd in summer 2016.
