If you were lucky enough to catch the Cavalera brothers at Ace Of Spades last year, you
already know that front man Max Cavalera has been on a death metal mission. And although
Sepultura changed significantly for the worse after his exit, he’s produced an immense body
of work that includes Soulfly, Nailbomb, Killer Be Killed and, of course, the mighty Go Ahead
And Die featuring his son Igor Amadeus Cavalera (bass, guitars & vocals) and Johnny Valles (Black Braid, Healing Magic) (drums).
Their tour kicked off on January 19th in his home state of Arizona and ends there as well on
March 24th . The Roseville date, although technically a school night and mid-week show, is
one of a staggering 10 California shows that should not be missed. Said Max Cavalera about
their upcoming shows, Remember the mosh pit, the sweat, and the aggression? Go Ahead
And Die is bringing all that back through the live show. Together with Bodybox we’re going to
set the underground on fire and make metal dangerous again!
The trio’s latest record – ‘ Unhealthy Mechanisms’ on Nuclear Blast – is the band’s 2 nd record
to date and is a barn-burner as evidenced by standout tracks such as “Split Scalp,” “Tumors,”
and “Chasm.” Picking up right where their 2021 self-titled record left off, the new album also
features the drumming talents of Johnny Valles (Blackbraid) who just might have one of the
fastest drum patterns ever recorded to tape. Check out the album in its entirety to find out

“I played my guitar directly in front of the amp with the gain turned high, trying to get
feedback everywhere I could. I really wanted it to feel like a live recording, so I played like I
would in a crowded bar-room, loud and in your face” said the young Igor Cavalera about
their non-traditional recording process. “This album is about mental health, and specifically
the decline of it.”
Go Ahead And Die play Goldfield Trading Post located at 238 Vernon Street in Roseville.
Also on the bill is Bodybox, Deep Within, and Abominous The Final Godsend. Doors open at
6pm and the show kicks off promptly at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 at
