Remaining Nirvana Members Reunite For A Cover Of The Vaselines‘ “Molly’s Lips“ At Foo Fighters’ Seattle, WA Show

In the video below Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, Nirvana’s two surviving members, rock the same stadium again Saturday night in Seattle, as their bands played Safeco Field.

“You haven’t aged a day,” quipped Grohl, rock’s reigning goofball, as the unassuming Novoselic quietly walked on stage with a still-handed wave. With that, Foo Fighters — which also includes former Nirvana touring member Pat Smear — blasted through a spunky rendition of “Molly’s Lips,” the Vaselines cover made more famous when Nirvana’s version landed on the grunge heroes’ “Incesticide” rarities compilation. NOFX’s Fat Mike Announces Inaugural Camp Punk In Drublic

Fat Mike of NOFX’  has announced the first-ever Camp Punk In Drublic. The event will take place on June 1-3 at Legend Valley in Thornville, OH, and it will feature music, craft beer tastings, campfire stories from punk legends, attractions such as Fatty’s Midnite Matinee late night movie theater, carnival games, etc. Here’s the daily lineups:

June 1 (Kickoff Party): Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine, and Guttermouth. (followed by Campfire Stories with Fat Mike and NOFX).

June 2: NOFX, Pennywise, Goldfinger, Strung Out, Mad Caddies, Face To Face and Bad Cop / Bad Cop (followed by Campfire Stories with Keith Morris, Jello Biafra and friends).

Sunday, June 3: Rancid, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Sick Of It All, Lagwagon, The Bouncing Souls, Street Dogs, and The Interrupters.

NOFX’s Fat Mike had the following to say:

“The thing about camping is that really nothing can go wrong, because everything is already wrong. Punk rockers don’t really know how to camp. They know how to wear hoodies, drink, and lean on each other. The good thing is that we got a lot of generators and an unlimited supply of kegs (some are even full of beer). Hey Coachella and Bonnaroo and Burning Man …Watch what happens at CAMP Punk In Drublic. I can almost guarantee that our festival is gonna be way lamer and stupider than yours…That’s the point!…Well, I think that’s the point. Wait, punk rock doesn’t have a point?”

Rancid’s Tim Armstrong also commented:

“Fat Mike gathered up some of my favorite bands and people to hang out in the middle of Ohio. Rancid can’t wait to be a part of the first Camp Punk In Drublic. We’re looking forward to telling stories around the campfire with you guys!”

Pennywise’s Fletcher Dragge continued:

“Wait, I get to run amok with a bunch of drunk punk rockers into the wee hours of the night? Have you ever seen a 300 lb man do a belly flop on a pup tent? Well you will…game on! People who are insane enough to stay through the night better get their troops together…me and Fatty are coming for you!!”

Travelin Jack Draws “Cold Blood” With Song Premiere

Travelin Jack, one of the hottest new rock acts from Germany, has teamed up with Loudwire for an exclusive premiere of their new single “Cold Blood.”

Founded in summer 2013, Travelin Jack have developed into one of Germany’s most unusual rock acts over the past four years, establishing their inimitable style, which is tailored to the vocals of Alia Spaceface, with two successful tours and shows at important festivals beyond the German borders. The general flair of their new album Commencing Countdown may bring to mind great rock groups from the seventies, such as Thin Lizzy, Rush, Scorpions and Deep Purple, but the Berlin band’s compositions and the warm, analogue production of their new album are both contemporary and modern.
Track Listing:
1. Land Of The River 4:31
2. Metropolis 4:04
3. Keep On Running 3:39
4. Cold Blood 4:47
5. Galactic Blue 4:42
6. Time 5:06
7. Miracles 3:51
8. What Have I Done 3:50
9. Fire 4:01
10. Journey To The Moon 3:59
