Revocation guitarist and vocalist David Davidson is no stranger to pushing the boundaries between thrash and death metal. But with the band’s latest album, Great Is Our Sin, Davidson says the death-metal side of Revocation has been moving further to the front — and the result may be their heaviest record yet.

Currently on the road, Davidson checked in from San Francisco during the band’s tour, where Revocation was preparing to take the stage for another night of crushing riffs, technical musicianship, and, if there was time afterward, some good food and drinks.
