Teddy has dropped the gothic official video for latest single ‘Dead Presidents’ out now.
For the first time since releasing his debut Castle With No Light EP, Teddy teams up with Smokeasac to produce the eerie, rock driven single. The video announces itself with Teddy seated in a horse-drawn cart, rapping the lyrics nonchalantly. Dark imagery is present throughout, as he is later seen brooding through a Paris cemetery – an ideal pairing for similarly bleak music.
It’s Teddy’s first release since his self-titled debut album, a ten-track release where he explored rock elements outside of his usual repertoire. In ‘Broken Dreaming’ he blended surf rock guitar licks with bass heavy trap beats and then gave listeners a delicate, acoustic heartbreak song with ‘Down These Hills’. It’s an alternative record at heart with shining elements of hip hop.
Looking forward, Teddy has been announced to perform at the renowned Reading & Leeds festivals this August. This will be Teddy’s debut UK festival performance since supporting Fat Nick’s GENERATION NUMB North American tour.
