Concert Photo Review: THE WARNING @ Cornerstone – Berkeley

The Warning is a rock band from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The band consist of three Villarreal sisters. They first gained famed back in 2014 when they posted a cover of Metallica’s hit song “Enter Sandman” on YouTube, the video gained so much fame that even Metallica’s lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, twitted ” The drummer kicks maximum ass! “.

During their career, they have released two EP’s Escape the Mind (2015) and Mayday (2021), two full length albums XXI Century Blood (2017) and Queen of the Murder Scene (2018), also six English singles and two in Spanish, Narcisista (Narcissistic) and Martirio (Martyrdom). The video game Rock Band 4 featured two original songs by the Warning, (Free Falling) and (Survive).

While on their Mayday tour, The Warning made a stop at the Cornerstone in Berkeley. Their setlist included some of their new hits like Choke and Evolve. They also sang two songs in Spanish Narcisista and Martirio which guitarist/lead vocalist Daniela nailed perfectly.

I had fun watching Alejandra and Daniela rock the shit out of those guitars, also Paulina is such a beast on the drums that It had me hoping for a drum solo, maybe  on the next tour hehehe.

Although their version of Enter Sandman (Metallica cover) was not as heavy as the original one, I really love what they did with it and found it very enjoyable, I highly recommend you check out their Alessia Cara & The Warning – “Enter Sandman” (Official Music Video) below.
