RESOLUTION 13 “Derelict” (Sliptrick Records)

The new album by Finnish industrial group Resolution 13 is called Derelict. The band started composing the tracks in 2016 and the recordings took place over several rounds from that time until 2020 with sound engineer Tero “Max” Kostermaa, who also produced the material along with the band. After 2020, guest vocals have been added by Ville Tuomi. Mixing was by Euge Valovirta (Cyhra) and mastering by Jacob Hansen (e.g. Cyhra, Volbeat, Amaranthe).

I think Hardtone has an incredible vocal range.. His bass tone is amazing.. His screams actually blew me away, I wasn’t expecting them. The way he can switch his tones is incredible, especially for an industrial band. That takes hard practice..:

Now for I.T. It’s nice to actually hear bass guitar for once in an industrial band.. He comes in strong on all the songs which is really nice for a change.. Sometimes the bass player gets lost in the background..

Dallas 13 really comes in strong for an industrial drummer.. I love that.. I can hear him nice and clear in every song.. He holds the band together very well.

Gabor… His guitar is nice and strong and loud.. Just what i would expect for an industrial band.. I love his riffs in each song.. They definitely keep my attention..

The song that caught my heart is my precious star.. Because I can tell when Hardtone wrote it, it really came from his heart.. I can hear it in his voice, in their music, in their harmonies and in their music.. It is really from Hardtone’s heart.
