Concert Photo Review: THE DARKNESS @ The Masonic – San Francisco, California

Great show lots of energy on stage.  Loved seeing Frankie Poullain on bass, especially after learning that he left the band and came back. The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has a lot of great energy onstage and audience engaging.

He spoke with audience of the bands impending 20-year anniversary US tour for the debut “Permission to Land” album.  He also gave props to the support act of the tour, an entertaining band out of Missouri, The Comancheros. The setlist was exactly as portrayed on the Album with their biggest hit “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” being more toward the middle of show because they were playing the album in its sequence of order, which to me is interesting.  This band being a hard rock band with lots of pop influences.  I found it to be extremely enjoyable as I like pop music, but I am a hard rock person.
