If you haven’t been paying attention, the Cafe Colonial and The Colonial Theatre have been quite active as of late. Although there are many holes in the latter’s calendar, expect lots more shows towards the end of 2023 and into 2024.

Claudio Simonetti’s version of Goblin will be playing Sacramento as part of his ‘Demons’ tour which started in late September and looks to wrap up in the first week of November in St Louis, MO. The touring line-up is quite strong and features Claudio Simonetti (keyboards), Daniele Amador (guitar), Cecilia Nappo (bass), and Federico Maragoni (drums).

For those not in the know, Claudio Simonetti has written and recorded countless soundtracks for such horror staples as Dawn of the Dead, Deep Red, Suspiria, and Tenebrae. During their Sacramento stop, Simonetti and company will perform the score to 1985’s ‘Demons’ which was produced by Dario Argento (Suspiria, Tenebrae) and directed by Lamberto Bava.

At the finale of the film, the group will take a short intermission and then deliver some of their most well-known Goblin material along with “best of” scores set to video.

And while some other lucky cities get to hear ‘Suspiria,’ it’s safe to say the set list planned in Sacramento will please on many fronts.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts promptly at 8pm. All ages are welcome. Tickets start at $45 and top out at $65 and can be purchased at www.cafecolonial916.com. The Colonial Theater is located at 3522 Stockton Blvd. in Sacramento. Limited parking is available in the venue’s adjacent lot or you can park in the nearby neighborhoods.
