The cover alone, which on all of their releases has been great (artwork by Merkis), would make me want to pick this record up and give it a shot. You should. Scheduled to be released on June 7th via Beer City Records.

Recorded and mixed at Carp Town Studios by Marc Birr, with Nick Meyers assisting with mixing and Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording handling the lead guitar tracks. You’d think with all these hands in the pot, it would take away some of the rawness of this thrash/hard-core punk band sound. But you would be wrong.
This writer sure as hell was. From the hard frozen tundra of Northern Wisconsin, this band, who’s definitely been listening to a lot of Motorhead (in a good way), just slaps you immediately in the face with the infinite sound of drums by S.W. McLeod and WOW?! guitars by Ginea Pig Champion, and those guitars are so fast while providing vocals with help from bassist Bitty. It’s going to take a couple of times listening to those solos to even try and learn them yourself. On the song Aftermath, I can even hear some influence from Iron Maiden on the guitars.
My only complaint about this album would be that everything I’ve mentioned so far kind of drowns out the bass. But, honestly, it’s doing its job because the tempo remains tight with a very high quality, which is where I hear the previously mentioned band influence. So, I’m essentially saying there are no Lemmy bass bits.
But, trust me, this is a masterpiece that keeps them right where they have placed themselves with continued dominance and innovation in this genre. After listening to this and their past catalog,. It makes me wish I had given them a listen quite a while ago. I don’t see any plans for a tour to support this opus. But I’ll keep you posted after I’m done catching up on their previous pieces.
