Madrid’s HOLYCIDE is gearing up to unleash their third full-length album, Towards Idiocracy. The band – consisting of members of AVULSED and UNBOUND TERROR – delivers 10 ruthless tracks of pure, unadulterated thrash metal.

I didn’t think this HOLYCIDE could’ve come out so soon with follow-up to 2023’s EP “Bazookiller”, which could stand next to much less blow it out of the water.
But, with the help of Javier Fernandez, mixing and mastering at Montseny Studios and Davide Billia at MK2 Recording Studio with production being finished up by Vicente J. Paya at Black Light Studios where bass and drums were recorded while the vocals offering an honest critique of society’s flaws unleashed through masterful riffs have per-formed an unexpected miracle.
So, on of all days, the International Day of SLAYER, they bring to you are the equiva-lent of a nuclear thrash, a metal assault on old school thrash with “Towards Idiocracy”. This is the type of trash that has people crawling over each other just to get into the pit, and this writer is going to make sure I catch them whenever they tour through the states. But, so far, there’s only a few dates set in Spain and the Czech Republic.
I can definitely hear some influences from KREATOR on the dual guitar, show no mercy attack and violent vocals I’m just left wanting the pamphlet that hopefully comes with the release, which will be available on CD, cassette, LP, and digital so I can see who’s doing each solo.
They just battle back and forth, like a fight till death. Out of the 10 tracks on this album, I can’t even pick a favorite and that, by my book, makes this an instant classic that every respectable metalhead young and old should have in his or her collection. Turn it up and bother the neighbor, just for me!
