DISEMBODIED TYRANT Signs with Nuclear Blast, Unveils New Single “8.6 Blackout”

Nuclear Blast Records is thrilled to announce the signing of Missouri’s rising extreme metal force, DISEMBODIED TYRANT, to its ever-growing roster. Known for their unique blend of blackened deathcore and progressive symphonic metal, the volatile four-piece has already earned a dedicated global following.

In just a few short years, DISEMBODIED TYRANT has released several singles and an EP, amassing millions of streams. Their unforgettable performance at the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival and a North American tour alongside FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE and SHADOW OF INTENT have only heightened the excitement surrounding their next moves.

Commenting on the signing to Nuclear Blast, founding songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Blake Mullens shares:

“It’s an honor to be joining the Nuclear Blast roster, alongside some of my all-time favorite bands and artists. Disembodied Tyrant has always been supported solely by myself, and to now have an entire team behind us is a dream come true. I’m beyond eager for what the future holds!”

Tommy Jones, Nuclear Blast America’s label manager and head of A&R, adds:

“I’ve never signed an artist that hadn’t played a live show before, until Disembodied Tyrant. I was so confident in their music and their team that I took the risk. I saw the band’s eighth show ever at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest while they were supporting Fleshgod Apocalypse. After the performance, I hugged Blake and whispered in his ear, ‘Thank you for confirming my decision.’

The world isn’t ready for the insanity of Disembodied Tyrant, but there’s no turning back now. It’s about to get brutal.”

In conjunction with the signing announcement, the band also drops their explosive new single, “8.6 BLACKOUT”—a relentless track full of raging chaos.

Mullens explains the song’s creation:

“This track is one of those rare instances where the vision stayed intact throughout the entire process. It became exactly what I envisioned from day one. Lyrically, it’s a big shift from our previous material, and with the video accompanying it, I believe it makes a powerful statement.”
