A WILHELM SCREAM Announce New Album Cheap Heat — Watch the Haunting “Midnight Ghost” Video Now

New Bedford, Massachusetts lifers A WILHELM SCREAM are back and swinging hard with their sixth full-length album, Cheap Heat, out February 27 via Creator-Destructor Records.

Arriving just over three years after Lose Your Delusion, Cheap Heat packs ten blistering tracks of the band’s signature melodic hardcore/punk—darker, faster, and meaner than ever. Channeling the bleak bite of Ruiner and the razor-sharp precision of Career Suicide, the album finds AWS embracing their villain era. Vocalist Nuno Pereira calls it “vitriolic, relentless, and our best work to date. Guaranteed.”

Produced and mixed by guitarist/vocalist Trevor Reilly at Anchor End Studio and mastered by Joe Reilly at Black & Blue Mastering, Cheap Heat also marks the debut of new guitarist Ben Murray (Light This City, Heartsounds). Lyrically, the record dives headfirst into sociopathy, revenge, and moral rot—there are no heroes here, just scorched earth and sore winners who refuse to lose.

Clocking in at just under 30 minutes, Cheap Heat is pure no-frills devastation: nonstop riffs, soaring hooks, and a rhythm section with zero mercy. As some of the last true lifers from their era, A WILHELM SCREAM prove—again—that no one does it like the boys from New Beige.

The lead single “Midnight Ghost” is out now alongside a video directed by Mike Rivkees, with more singles and videos on the way. Cheap Heat will be available on vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital formats.

In support, the band will tear through the US West Coast, Australia, and Japan on a massive two-month run beginning February 19.

Cheap Heat isn’t here to win you over—it’s here to knock you out.
