Italian technical thrash metal band Miscreance are preparing to unleash their new album, Reminiscence, on August 28. Following 2022’s Convergence, the band spent several years developing a record that expands their technical and old-school thrash foundation while introducing a darker, more atmospheric and primal character
Built around the story of a mysterious lost tribe existing beyond conventional time, Reminiscence combines technical musicianship with ancient rituals, supernatural powers, hunting ceremonies, and an imagined civilization that is simultaneously primitive and strangely advanced.
The album’s concept is reinforced by its distinctive abstract artwork and an eclectic collection of influences. In this interview, Andrea and Tomaso of Miscreance discuss the long road to Reminiscence, the album’s conceptual origins, the inspiration behind its artwork, Italy’s underground metal scene, and some of the modern bands keeping their attention. Reminiscence comes out August 28, 2026 on Season of Mist.
