A Perfect Circle Debut “The Doomed” Video

A Perfect Circle, who recently released “The Doomed,” the first new music to be heard from the band’s expected 2018 album, return with an accompanying video for the “apocalyptic” (Rolling Stone)

The video, which was directed by Jeremy Danger and Travis Shinn, arrives as the band is in the final two weeks of their North American tour. A Perfect Circle also recently announced their first European tour in fourteen years (dates below).

Upon arrival of “The Doomed”, Maynard James Keenan said: “Fourteen years have passed since we released eMOTIVe. A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder.”

“Years of life experience has brought our music to this moment,” offered Billy Howerdel. “We know where we came from. Deeply connected to the path we’re on.”

A Perfect Circle have signed a worldwide recording deal with BMG and are working with producer Dave Sardy on the follow-up to 2004’s eMOTIVe.

Exhumed Share New Music Video For “Night Work”

Gore metal maniacs EXHUMED have shared the official music video for “Night Work” off the impending, new full-length album Death Revenge.

Frontman Matt Harvey comments: “We are extremely stoked to present this cinematic clip that brings you deep into the world of the Death Revenge storyline. Director Jeff Sisson really outdid himself capturing the vibe and violence of the record and the concept. This is the first video we’ve done that really fulfills the horror-movie vision we’ve always wanted to capture with our music. Spoiler Alert: It’s a tale of grave-robbery, murder and madness. So sit back, turn off the lights, lock your doors, and get ready to undertake some ‘Night Work’ with us.”

On having to change habits on the road due to Decapitated arrests: “And if you think that you can do something without consequences and that nobody is watching, you’re probably mistaken whether it’s rape or sexual assault or saying something inappropriate or whatever. And if you’re if you’re in a band and you want to go out on tour and get laid, that’s great, that’s completely fine, but if you think that you’re entitled to it because you’re in a band you deserve whatever is coming to you. I don’t think it’s really going to change anything much because this is just such a weird random outlying event. It’s not like it’s happening all the time.” see full interview with Capital Chaos TV here.

EXHUMED‘s sixth full-length sees them tread into ambitious new territory with their first concept album: a musical melodrama in thirteen parts based on shocking true events. Death Revenge takes place in the late 1820s in Edinburgh, Scotland and tells the macabre tale of a series of brutal murders where the victims’ cadavers were sold to anatomists, amid a grisly underground trade of grave-robbery. Recorded with producer Jarrett Pritchard (Goatwhore, Eternal, Gruesome), Death Revenge takes the band’s signature gore-drenched, death metal mayhem to theatrical and ghastly new depths. Cover illustration is by Orion Landau with interior illustrations by Lucas Ruggieri (lucasriggieriillustration.com).

EXHUMED recently announced a short run of live dates in November with The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, Decrepit Birth and more as well as a performance at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest on November 5th in San Bernardino, California. DECAPITATED RELEASE “EARTH SCAR” VIDEO

Polish metal extremists Decapitated are inching closer to the release of their seventh album Anticult, which arrives via Nuclear Blast on July 7. The band has further stoked anticipation for the album by issuing the video for the new track “Earth Scar.”

“We’re really excited to release the second song from our upcoming new record Anticult —’Earth Scar!,'” said guitarist Vogg. “I have always drawn influence from all spectrum’s of metal and this song and our new record really reflect those influences.

“Much like ‘Never,’ this song has been designed to crush on a stage and we can’t wait to add it to our set. Rasta wrote the lyrics with a lot of metaphorical content dealing with touring. The opposing lifestyles from the ‘normal,’ day-to-day of being at home vs. being on the road and seeing our ‘tribe’ interacting with the music and the almost restorative qualities of that. We hope you all enjoy it and we can’t wait to see you all very soon!”

Anticult is available for pre-order here and here.

ICYMI:
Ahead of the release, the band premiered the throttling new song “Never.”

Additionally, the band has shared a guitar playthrough for the song, which premiered via Gear Gods. Watch the riff mastery here.

Drummer Michal Lysejko showed off his chops in the drum playthrough for “Never,” which you can view here.

Devilment release music video for “Hitchcock Blonde”

Witch County nefarious frights DEVILMENT – led by vehement front man Dani Filth, will release their forthcoming masterpiece Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes on November 18 via  Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Today, the band have released the first official music video for ‘Hitchcock Blonde’, premiering exclusively via Metal Hammer.

The video was directed by Sam Scott Hunter with a skeleton crew of academic students, with thanks to  Film Suffolk. It features actress Leanne Joyce as the Hitchcock Blonde, who has appeared on Britain’s Next Top Model, Call The Midwife and The Royals to name a few.

Dani comments: “This is all about the legendary film director Alfred Hitchcock’s infatuation with his on-screen heroines; cool, controlled, aloof and sophisticated blondes. The song even name-checks ten of his favourite actresses. As ever there is a psychotic bend to the lyrics and the accompanying video, which was shot in a derelict, haunted hotel in the middle of Ipswich (the band’s home town) where Lord Nelson was said to have stayed on numerable occasions. The various hideous frights throughout the video were past denizens of the hotel captured on camera.”

Dani’s crew have meticulously pieced together a second blood-spattered batch of deranged anthems that brings vastly more colour, intensity and lyrical versatility to this band’s spectral palate. The second DEVILMENT record makes no splintered bones about its nefarious intent, offering a bewildering torrent of disparate and demented ideas and delivering them with refined, ultra-gothic panache and several jolting doses of Dani’s trademark verbal subterfuge. Assisted by long-time collaborators Lauren Francis (keys and vocals), Colin Parks (guitar), Nick Johnson (bass) and new drummer Matt Alston, Dani has arrived at the telling moment where DEVILMENT become a genuine force to be reckoned with.
