Sacramento, California thrash veterans PSYCHOSOMATIC present a new drum playthrough video for “Labyrinth,” one of the vicious tracks on their seventh LP The Invisible Prison, which saw release through Nefarious Industries last Summer.
Unloading twelve tracks of classic California thrash metal, PSYCHOSOMATIC’s The Invisible Prison was produced, engineered, and mixed by David Sanchez (Havok) at Riffs Or Die Recordings, and mastered by Mark Lewis (Chimaira, Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder) at MRL Studios. The record is completed with art by the band’s founding bassist/vocalist Jeff Salgado, coloring by Vincent Pizarro, layout by Greg Meisenberg, and photography by Michael Alvarez, and includes a cover of “Serial Killer” by Vio-lence.
PSYCHOSOMATIC drummer Toby Swope – who provides live drums for the likes of Revocation and Skeletonwitch, among others – demonstrates his devastating percussive salvo in the new multi-angle “Labyrinth” playthrough. Swope offers, “’Labyrinth’ was an exciting song to drum to. My bandmates wrote a fun and technical song; I just followed along to it and filled in the cracks. I recently built a home studio in my garage and this was the first playthrough video that I had shot in it and edited myself. I hope you enjoy it.”
